The Tenderloin (TL) is an area full of brokenness and isolation. What people need more than anything is Jesus to heal their lives, and so much of that healing comes through His body, the local church.  We believe it is extremely important that if we are going to do ministry in a community, that we also fellowship and do church in that community as well.  This is why we require that ministry students belong not just to a program but also to our church body.

Church Gatherings

On Sundays we gather as a body to pray from 9:00-10:00am, and then from 10:30am-12:00pm we worship together, engage in the Word, and connect with people visiting our church.

Wednesday Night Prayer

At 5:00pm on Wednesdays we gather to worship God together and pray for specific things going on within the ministry efforts in our community.

Adopt a Building

Every ministry student is assigned to one of our adopted buildings to intervene on behalf of residents through life-transforming relationships. Adopt a Building meets twice per week, once on a week day, depending on the building, and one on Sundays fro 2:00-5:00pm. It is through this program that a lot of relationships with community members will form.

Every staff and ministry student is expected to be in a discipleship group. Students will be placed in groups with other students of the same gender and will be mentored by one of our staff members. Discipleship groups meet weekly for one-two hours and are a safe place to be transparent and confess sins to one another, and encourage one another in the Word and in prayer.
